Bengaloor"u"

I was thinking of the way we speak different languages. From the Indians trying to put onto this totally false American accent here in the U.S. to the way I used to speak Kannada back home, its all unique. Its so amazing how you can enjoy these small things provided you pick them up.You start think your life is becoming monotonous and all that, without caring to look at the small things around you.I guess that is human nature again,it forces you to get into the comfort zone, where you actually try to take the easy way out and complain rather and try and seek a solution.

Its very funny how Americans speak their English here.I ve never heard "ah huh" said for a yes! I still remember the first time I heard that.I was getting down from a local shuttle that operates around our university campus.I thanked the driver just as I got down(btw i ve never ever looked at the face of a bus driver in India , let alone thank him!!).She went "ah huh" .I was quite bewildered actually.Quite frankly I didnt understand what she said!!! It was then that I found out that English is spoken in an unique way here.

For the smallest of difficulties you say: " this is like the worst thing everrr"!!
When you are surprised/amazed say "Geez " or I guess "woww really", as if you dont know that its true!!
Its even funnier the desi junta speaking in English.

Kannada, well we have an unique way of speaking it as well.
One very common suffix used or should I say added by almost everybody speaking the language almost subconciously is the "u"

its like rightu and leftu, for right and left
Even our Bangalore has become Bengalooru!!

Another common trend is saying anything twice replacing the first letter of the word by another letter, which makes the word absolutely meaningless!!

An example that springs to mind is Idli gidli!!
What the hell!! Idli is okay... but why gidli!!

Even in Hindi, I ve seen people annihilating the language:

stree( female) becomes istree!!, which literally means iron/press!!

Strange observations you may say, but they can be a source of everyday joy if you can enjoy them, maybe your life ll become more cheerful .

I m still wondering if every language has these subtle funny variations..

I would love to find out
